Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (aka BJJ) is a form or grappling that was spawned by grand master Helio Gracie in the 1920’s. This very practical form of grappling is focused on every aspect of self defense. The word Jiu-Jitsu translates to the gentle art because you do not have to strike or hurt your opponent if it is not necessary. This incredibly effective martial art incorporates takedown/throws, pins/controls, submissions, escapes, strikes and street awareness. Jiu-Jitsu is for everyone and all ages.

Muay Thai is a very practical form of kickboxing that dates back to the 18th century in Thailand. It is often called the martial art of eight limbs as it incorporates fist, elbows, knees and shins. This highly effective martial art is filled with different striking techniques that have become very popular in the western world since the early 1990’s following the growth of MMA. Muay Thai is also an amazing form of exercise that strengthens the body, burns calories, increases cardiovascular endurance and helps burn fat! All ages and levels are welcome!

Kids Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai classes are for ages 5-12 years old.

These fun, exciting sessions empower children with discipline, respect, confidence and fitness!

You child will walk away with tools and skills for a lifetime ahead! Our instructors Maddie and Tyler will safely guide your kids into a realm of self defense, anti bully proof methods and street smarts!

Women’s only self defense classes are led by Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Brown Belt Maddie Pope.
